UK Student Visa β Complete 2025 Guide
The UK Student Visa (formerly Tier 4) is your gateway to studying at one of the world's most prestigious universities. Here is everything you need to know as a Bangladeshi student.
Step 1: Secure Your Offer Letter
Before applying for a visa, you must receive an unconditional offer letter from a UK university that is a licensed student sponsor. Once you accept your offer, the university will issue your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies).

You must demonstrate you have enough money to pay for your course and support yourself:
- Β£1,334 per month for courses in London (up to 9 months = Β£12,006)
- Β£1,023 per month outside London
- Tuition fees for your first year
These funds must have been in your account for at least 28 consecutive days before you apply.
Step 3: Online Application
Apply online at the UKVI website. You'll need to pay the visa fee (Β£363) and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) β currently Β£776 per year of study.
Step 4: Biometrics
After applying online, book a biometrics appointment at VFS Global Bangladesh (Dhaka or Chittagong). Bring all original documents.
